The Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework is identified as a priority in the Department’s Strategic Plan for WA Public Schools 2016-2019 and Focus 2019.
The framework supports all Department of Education staff to reflect on their approaches to the education of Aboriginal students. It sets expected standards for all staff when working with Aboriginal students, their families and communities. A designated leadership team provides a strategic plan for the implementation of the Framework across all levels of the school.
