At Ranford Primary we believe that diversity contributes to our positive learning environment. Currently, there are 52 different language backgrounds represented in the school. Students that require support to access the curriculum receive it from a well-qualified staff. We currently have a full-time EAL teacher, who works collaboratively with all teachers (K-6) to recognise and meet the needs of all students for whom English is an additional language. Students are supported within the classroom, or withdrawn for more intensive teaching, depending on their needs. Ranford Primary also has numerous staff with EAL qualifications and experience to complement the teaching and learning program.
An established EAL Leadership Team develops a consistent pedagogy to support students across the school. Ranford Primary is a safe and supportive environment for all learners.
