The world-wide pandemic presented a different context for 2020. Despite a smooth opening to the year, we soon found ourselves following COVID protocols and communicating these on a regular basis to our community in order to implement health and cleaning requirements. This continued throughout the year, with a peak at the beginning of Term 2 when schools prepared for online learning, only for students to be back at school in Week 2.
This Annual Report for 2020 provides a summary of the school’s performance throughout the year. It presents details of student performance in academic and non-academic areas as well as school performance in the focus areas of the school’s Business Plan, along with an analysis of learning area reviews and plans.
Due to the COVID pandemic NAPLAN was cancelled so this created a gap in our data, however, other school based assessment data continued and provided tracking and monitoring of student progress and achievement.
Additional information and details have been provided to the school community throughout the year in newsletters, through the school website, and in reports to the School Board and P&C Association. Further to this, information of a more individual nature has been reported or communicated to parents through student diaries, formal reports, interviews and the Individual Adjustment Plan (IAP) process when appropriate.
In addition, Ranford Primary had a Public School Review in Term 1 2021, which was based on evidence and performance from 2017-2020. The report from this review is provided as an Appendix to this Annual Report.
