“Everyday Day Counts, Every Lesson Counts”

Consistent attendance and participation at school are essential factors in achieving social and academic learning outcomes. Student attendance of less than 90% will have an impact on a child’s opportunity to achieve their potential.

At Ranford Primary we use a multi-tiered system to support student attendance.

Western Australian law requires all school-aged children must attend school every day.

There may be times during your child’s education when they are away from school.

In accordance with the Western Australia School Education Act 1999, parents/carers are responsible for notifying the school of a student’s absence:

  • As soon as is practicable; and
  • In any case within 3 days of the day on which the non-attendance started

If your child is unable to attend school, please let the school or classroom teacher know as soon as possible.
