At Ranford, we provide the opportunity for students to sit a Music Aptitude test in Year 5 and if successful, be offered a place in the IMSS program. This is an extra-curricular music program that runs during school time for half an hour a week. Students are offered free tuition to play the flute, trumpet or clarinet. Students participate in assembly performances throughout the year as well as to the parent community at our Celebrating Teaching and Learning night and Christmas concert. Each year the profile of the music program continues to improve and impress, with students being offered music scholarships at Canning Vale College, Rossmoyne High School and John Curtin, College of the Arts.
